Realising the Benefits

.

We understand that the real objective of any project is to provide your business with a tangible benefit, either financially or otherwise. These objectives can sometimes be lost in the day to day workings of project implementation.

We use a range of project management techniques to keep the project team focused on the benefits. These include:

  • Front end Definition - This ensures that the full scope of the project is identified in the early stages to allow a complete understanding of the costs, timescales and implications of the project before significant spends are undertaken.

  • Project Definition Rating - This process is a check at the funding stage of the project to confirm that all of the Front End Definition has been carried out and the project is ready for execution.

  • Value Engineering - This process is used to ensure that the project is delivered to appropriate standards and to avoid unnecessary 'over-engineering' of plant and equipment where not required.

All of the above is in addition to the normal standards of project delivery that you would normally expect. We use a documented project management process, based on the Prince 2 methodology, to ensure consistent high quality delivery. Cost control is maintained by Risk identification and management processes and monitored using Earned Value Analysis.

As with all works, safety is of prime importance. We can perform the role of CDM co-ordinator and implement on site safety management systems, including behavioural based safety systems.
